Below you'll see a minature of the post office and an old tablet which was used as mail. This is what was transported by messenger through the old post office. And below that, is a map that indicates the various post offices along the route from Beijing to Nanjing. I believe this is one of the only few remaining that is still standing and preserved. The emporers used to use these postal stops as a way to communicate messages and edicts to the people.
