Day Three - Shanghia
Day three ended with a flight to Shanghia from Beijing. We will only be in Shanghia for the evening and then head out on a trian to Nanjing tomorrow morning. We also met up with Jen/Dano/Lian in Shanghia. Although, Jen and Dano were exhausted as they just arrived from there flight from Seattle. Anyway, funny story from China East Airlines besides that they served a full meal on a two hour flight...United...please...anyway, we landed and were taxing on the tarmac and were still no where near that gate assigned when we stopped. All of a sudden a sound went (likely the seat belt sound) and one person then the entire plane jumped up and started getting their bags from the overhead bins. I've never seen more flustered flight attendents (yes I was one of the masses that got up, but only after watching the scene and having Suzanne comment that we must be taking a bus.). They eventually got everyone back seat and we taxied to our gate.
So, since we were only in Shanghia for one evening, Suzanne and I went exploring.
Here are some of the photos. We did find a starbucks, not quite as prevelant as in the states, however KFC is everywhere.
