Day One – September 12/13, 2007 – Awoke by 4:30 am on the 12th of September in order to be ready to leave by 5:15am with plenty of time to spare for the 7:20 am flight to San Francisco. I am sorry, but no photos from that portion of the trip. The only issue that arose was that they had us not sitting together. The agent at the check-in was helpful in accommodating our request.
Anyway, we made our way to San Francisco, and found Pete’s Coffee to be delicious. I would have to recommend it over Starbucks. Anyway, after grabbing a cup to go, we found the bus to the international flight and again spoke to the check-in agent about our seating assignments. Plus, Suzanne’s boarding pass had none of the information normaly found on it. In any event, they again were wonderful in helping us out.
Needless to say, it was not until we actually board did we find that we were in the exit row and economy plus. Basically, lots of leg room for the 12 hour flight. The flight consisted of much conversation between Suzanne and I and four full length movies. I did get to start another book, the Omnivoor'es dilemna but not much outside of that.
Okay, so the flight wasn't too exciting, but we did arrive in Beijing which was great. We did find out that Lian was booked for Suzanne room, which was easily fixed. After finally settling down Suzanne and I went for a walk to stretch the legs. We ended up walking randomly around. Here is a photo (hopelfully I can figure this blogging thing out) of me on an overpass.
