Our next stop on the guided tour was the Gaoyou Canal. The barges that traverse this canal are all the way from Beijing and some end up all the way to Nanjing. Off to the left is the Gaoyou Lake, which is the largest man-made lake....not certain on that one, think that is what I was told....anyway, quite an amazing photo/view as we stood atop the bridge that spans the canal.
